Carry Over and Stephen Solomon excelled to bag the best team and best bowler of the week award respectively during the third session in the Almarai-FBGR Sunday Bowling League 13th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center here.
Almarai Company sponsored the tournament under the auspices of the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).
Carry Over mentored by Lulu Quejada found an easy way to beat the Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia Jr. 26-11. The trio of HRH MS, Sam Alinsod and Bembol Velasco led the team by scoring 863, 860 and 857 respectively. Quejada added 784, Celis Viloria had 390 and Nap Torres 380. Top scorer for the losing team were Ed Cruz with 823, Butch Mateo 779, Manny Lebrilla 765, Ruby Urrutia 748 and Ric Urrutia Jr. 722 points.
In another encounter Team Irene beat FBGR Selection 22-16 with ace bowler Solomon doubling the joy of victory when he bagged the Best Bowler of the Week award.
Solomon drilled the night’s high series of 942. Sparkling too were Dee Urbano 836, Jao Urbano 777 and Donjie Mapalad 753 while Obet Miranda made 401 and Vicky Vitug 357 in two games played.
James Boyd led the losing team on 886. Joel Lambo contributed 850, Jett Cabana 784, Jojo Miraflor 763 while Rizal Dellosa and Benito Santos chipped in 391 and 328 in two games.
Sweet Angel Viper mentored by Angel Caasi whipped IBG Storm of Ric Singson 18-11. Top scorers were Nelson Respicio 831, Glenn Dela Cruz 753 and Jun Balubayan 690, while Angel Caasi tallied 612, Ruel Pingol 536 and Charlie Cheng 359. Rey Bautista paced IBG on 807 followed by Marvin Arocena 760, Arnold Jesena 708, Thong Asuncion 690, Rodel Molina 385 and Ric Singson 384 points.
United Global mentored by Arnel Balaoro smashed Almarai Co. of Jun Daniel 22-13. Leading the winning team were Jerry Sobrebiga 805, Arnel Balaoro 730 and Jeff Nierva 677. Gil Miranda added 651, Clem Ojeda 625 and Erwin Atienza 173. For Almarai Joel Batolina tossed in 817, Paul Decena and Fhel Ramos carded identical scores of 801, Jun Daniel shot 730 and Alex Armada 693.
In other matches, Look Up Boys of Ronald Bautista beat Nadec Strokers of Lope Ramirez 21-10, Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed walloped the young guns Thales team of Ryan Iñigo 18-8 and Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad beat RG512 for Clothes of Yasser Mohammed 23-10.
